I'll start of with some remarks on the cd cover. It's a nice simple design with a picture of a pair of eyes (Akhiyan), which reflects the tune. You could have forgiven Bobby for putting up a picture of himself on the cover, as this is his debue single, but he has resisted temptation to do this.

Finally, it is here for us all to enjoy. I first heard this song at Manchester Mela and have been sent several e-mails asking me when the song is due for release. I am now going to discuss whether the song meets the hype surrounding it. It is a single called 'Akhiyan Akhiyan' sung by Bobby and featuring MC Intensity. The CD contains 3-differant versions of the same song plus an instrumental.

It kicks of with the Radio Edit version, which includes some Mc'ing on it. The tune has CLASS written all over it. Bobby, who is a newcomer, has a brilliant voice, so remember the name, as he is definitely one for the future. MC'ing is a very difficult art, which you either can do or can't. To MC to slow song, like this, is an extremely difficult task. The Mc'ing is brought down to almost talking speed at times but what can I say MC Intensity has done a great job. So without a doubt we will be seeing more of him in the near future.

Onto the second mix which has no Mc'ing on it (The original). It's a phat tune with some tight lyrics. Bobby's voice just sounds better and better every time I hear it. So If Mc'ing is not your thing then you will like this version better.

The next version is the 'Acapella' version (who thinks of these names?). It is basically track 1 without any music. This version just shows how good the two have performed, well-done guys.

Finally, you got track 4, which is track 1 without the singing. Just trying to confuse you, it's the instrumental.

The single has been released on a new label called Supreme Dream Records. It has a recommended retail price of £3.99 for the CD and the tape is only £1:99 which is a very fair price. At last, we have a label that has put a price on. Now if the shopkeeper asks us for a ridiculous price we can tell him where to go! I hope that this helps set a trend for other bhangra cds. You guys are 'the gurus' at copying so copy this - I dare you! We all know that this is the solution so instead of blaming each other (label & shopkeeper) while we (bhangra listener) lose out by paying extortionate prices for singles & EP's. All you got to do is simple put on Recommended Retail Price (R.R.P) and viola problem solved or are you happy the way it is?

I really rate this single so it gets 8 out of 10 for quality, originality & value all in one. So watch out for Bobby's album which is due out soon as it's going to be wicked. If you haven't bought this single already then I suggest you rush to your local music shop now to avoid dissapointment and if they haven't got it - demand that they get it asap!
