Jazzy B's
Oh Kedi

Firstly, I am going to make to comments about the change in his record label and the CD cover. As you may know Jazzy B's previous album, Stayin Real, was brilliant and he is now reaping the rewards of that success. Moving swiftly on to the cd cover. We bring him to the UK and..... Hooray, Jazzy B has had a haircut - to say it was overdue is a huge understatement. I think that he deserves a Blue Peter Badge, do u? Someone please translate the huge value this holds in the UK to him. The first benefit of transferring record labels is that Jazzy B can finally afford a haircut! Joking apart, he looks alot better than before - almost unrecognisable, which makes the cover look good too. In the future when he has kids and they go to school he will now actually get the parents evening letter given to him from his kids, before I seriously think they would have had made up some excuse on his whereabouts and availability to attend. Finally, a big 'UP' to whoever took him for a haircut, he should be thanking you for the rest of his life!

Now handing over to Gary Sidhu from the USA to review the album.

The youngest, biggest and best name in the Bhangra industry is back. Thats right its is the Jazzy Bains. After his big smash hit Surma (Stayin Real) he has set himself high standards for this new album. Having gone to Moviebox the music is by the one and only Sukshinder Shinda. This powerful pack of Jazzy B and Sukshinder Shinda comes out with this new Dholaholic album "Oh Kedi." Jazzy B has previously been accused of having songs that are too similar to each other. However, this album includes eight tracks with great variety, which includes everything from a romantic song to a garage tune. Now lets take a look at these brand new tracks individually.

The album kicks off with OH KEDI, which is smashing and dashing and recommended for everybody. I mean for the all kind of music fans!

The song KUCH KEH GAYA is a romantic song too, but its not too good and not too bad, so you could say it's an average song.

The track NAAG is a traditional song, and its recommended for the Pure Punjabis and it is my favourite too. I just love this song and if you are into Traditional Music you will too. I don't think it will be that popular in UK but here in the USA it will be.

The tune EK GAL is garage mix. So of course everybody knows that UK is mad in Garage Mixes at the moment so lets see if this will be the same... which UK expect well i think YES. In the USA, I think it's more of where the remote control to simple switch on the next song as the garage scene has really hit off here.

The moving onto LOKO, which is just Wicked Wicked Wicked.... that is all i have to you about this.... just awesome... unbelievable!

The song DOLI is a sad tune in which two lovers get apart from each when the female marry somebody else. Some top lyrics included in this song.

The track KURI is another romantic song, which includes lyrics mixed from both Hindi and Punjabi, and the vocals in at the end like Sharabi.

The tune DIL is a romantic song in which he expresses his feelings to her HEER, to whom he loved and he couldn't stop himself.... so even you could use the lyrics to tell your girlfriend how she drives you crazy!

So don't forget to check out this album, as the music provided by Shinda is great (no doubt in return for the songs sung by Jazzy B, Chakdey Boly & Jumke, on his latest album). I think Satinder Kala, from the USA, deserves a mention for writing the 4 slower type songs on this album, as some of the lyrics are superb, well done! All in all it's different album than what we have come to expect from the man from Canada but what can I say, I think he's done a great job so I give the album 8 out of 10.
