Recently, Naima had the pleasure of interviewing one of the best singers on the desi music scene at the moment, namely 'Dalvinder Singh.' He is the man behind the vocals for the smash hit tune 'Nachda Panjabi' which featured on the album 'The Dub Conspiracy.' He already has two albums to his name and is working hard on the 3rd album.
Naima: How long have you been in the industry? I mean did you find it difficult to break into?
Dalvinder Singh: I have been in the industry coming up to 3 years, it wasn't difficult as I had people in the industry that knew of me and also knew me through my father and brother.

Naima: Your first album was called 'The First Chapter' followed by 'No Regrets' and now the forthcoming album is going to be entitled 'The Survivor.' What is the reasoning behind these album titles?
The first album was called "The First Chapter" (The first album to start my career), The second album was called " No Regrets" (what ever I have released and done on my first album up until now, I don't regret and am just going to get better) and the follow is going to be called "The Survivor" (if I've had any knock backs or if anyone has tried to put me down and have survived and am going to show what it is to be a survivor in this industry by coming out with a strong, self produced album).
Naima: Have you ever considered joining a band such as B21 since they are in need of a lead singer and you are also from Birmingham or maybe another band or would you prefer to stay solo?

Naima: What would you advise to aspiring individuals wishing to follow in your steps?
Only do this if you have got your heart set on it and you are not going to be easily put down by harsh comments. Most of all you need to have full knowledge in the music side whether it's playing instruments or singing and also have the support from your family.
Naima: So what else does Dalvinder Singh do apart from provide us with tracks to Nach to?
That is exactly what I do, my life revolves around producing my music, sing, and performing. Other than that I just love to chill with my close friends!
Naima: I've listened to a few of your tracks and I would describe them as a blend of traditional with a touch of R'n'B as opposed to the new garage influence that is prevailing these days. Would you agree? I mean how would you describe the style that you try to achieve?
I basically try and cater for everyone's needs, plus I produce the types of music I personally like listening to.

Naima: I know I'm being up front here but do you have a girlfriend (Just had to ask for all the ladies that are interested)?
As I say all the time this question is asked, " That's for me know and you to maybe find out one day!" HA HA!!
Naima: What would you most like to be recognized and/or remembered for?
I would like to be recognised for achieving a solo career and for inspiring the youngsters to maybe follow!
Naima: So what should we expect from you in the near future? I mean who is going to feature on your forthcoming album and what other tracks are you going to be providing the vocals for?
