We are all fully aware of the Asia Quake and the consequences from it but what have you done about it? So many people have died as a direct result of the Earthquake but now with the winter setting in it could result in a second wave of deaths, which can be prevented! It's time for us all to do you part. Here are some quotes from your favourite desi artists to encourage you to do just that.

Djinn [www.djinnmusic.co.uk] - "The wrath of nature has shown itself without hesitation again strength we will never be able to defeat. It's not a bombing; it's not a Religious Statements or a plot of extremists. Some call its God's warning and others call it a chemical reaction. Maybe God created the chemical reaction as a warning...maybe it's the earth trying to balance the population of the world. Who knows? But this was not a disaster caused by our own ignorance and greed. Whatever the reason, nature took the lives of these people and the survivors may die without our help. Don't sit back and watch them die. Save at least 1 life. Our brothers and sisters are calling for our help. Let them know their cries are not unheard."
Northern Lights [www.thenorthernlights.co.uk] - "The human race continues to suffer and the latest tragedy adds to the list of unfortunate events around the world over the past few years. This underlines the statement that we should all work together in making this world a better place and help each other, especially those in most need. Rather than have pointless wars and eventually become One United World. Everyone should give generous donations in helping these people and even when you have given...give again!!!!"
Priya [www.priyasvibe.com] - "It's our duty to help our fellow brothers and sisters. Black, white, Chinese, South Asian, it doesn't matter. It is when man is in his time of need that God's true work can be done. Here's your chance to find the God you possess within yourself. Who knows what tomorrow holds for any of us? Nothing is guaranteed. Everything is granted to us. If you have more than the next person this is your opportunity to give so that they can live the life they deserve to live just like you. This is God's world and we are all children of God."
Kami.K - "Another day another tragedy has hit us, it's these moments, which make me think how fortunate we are. The Asia Earthquake has killed in the region of thousands and left families homeless. We all need to unite and reach for that little bit of spare change that could help people with clean water, medicine, shelter and food. You could help save a live, Please donate what you can."

Mukhtar Sahota [internalmusic.co.uk] - "In a space of 10 months South Asia has been hit by 2 major natural disasters, first the Tsunami in December and now the Earthquake. Thousands have lost their lives and millions have become homeless. We all need to pull together to help those in need out there and we should do all we can to help the survivors to come to terms with their losses, and, to help them rebuild their lives. This will not get better over night or a couple of months, we are talking years, so please do not label the disasters as 'yesterdays news', lets work on making a better future for the survivors!" |

Tigerstyle [www.tigerstyleonline.co.uk] - "It's tragic there's been so many disasters recently. We feel it's important to stay in touch with the humanity inside ourselves and do as much to help others in these times. Whatever little we can do goes a long way."
Kat Eyez [www.hangoverrecords.com] - "I cannot describe in words how tragic this has been, its seems the world is slowly falling apart day to day, help make a difference to those who are in need, and hopefully they can start rebuilding there lives."
Swami [www.swamimusic.com] - "Over the past year we have seen a myriad of natural disasters, all over the world, each one equally shocking. Swami send our prayers and thoughts out to the all Earthquake victims, and would like to encourage everyone to do whatever you can to support them. Please show compassion and don't just turn the other cheek."
Sumeet [www.sumeetmusic.com] - "My heart and tears go out to the victims that are in such need of our help. So many lost, so many left
now it's up to us to do everything we can. Please donate whatever you are able - no amount is too small. For most, that will be the difference between life and death."
Bikram Singh [www.bikramsingh.com] - "We have just experienced Hurricane Katrina in the States and we all know how tragic it was, it got the whole world's attention and aid was pouring in from all over the world. What has happened in Pakistan is Katrina X 100,000. They are in a worse situation and ill equipped to deal with tragedies of this magnitude. As unimaginative as it might be, but just try to imagine what they are going through. Helping each other out will bring harmony / peace to this world, which is what its lacking the most at the moment. Lets pray for them and give them as much as we can, because you never know what tomorrow will bring."
Roach Killa [www.roachkilla.com] - "There is a lot that needs to be done. There are many areas that so far have not been reached. The death toll is huge and could be many-fold more as they reach more areas and as we discover more and more dead bodies under the rubble".... "Lets give a moment of silence for the dead"......... Disaster is a part of life and we as humans have learned to cope with it over and over again. Prayers can help spiritually, lets join together as a movement and help the needy, In a situation like this, any thing would be accepted (clothes, blankets, donations to Unicef and all other charities) lets make a difference and rebuild."
Blitzkrieg [www.twenty2k.com] - "Please help fellow south Asians in their time of need."
Lady Ru [www.ladyru.com] - "I cannot imagine how it must feel to one day come home to nothing - EVERYTHING gone. Because of the recent earthquake in parts of Asia, the lives of people have changed forever, with loved ones lost, while many others face life with nowhere to turn. My prayers go out to everyone affected and I will do whatever I can to help. Please look in your heart and donate what you can. It is going to take a lot to rebuild and reconstruct the lives of the earthquake victims; they need all the help they can get. But if we can all come together and make a donation, no matter how small, IT WILL make a difference."
Paul Shah [Sunrise Radio - www.sunriseradio.com] - "I can't believe that this kind or tragic natural disaster has happened again. Now is a time that those of us who are not in South Asia put out petty differences behind us, like race and religion, and start to work together to help those who have been effected in South Asia by one of the worst earthquakes in recent memory. On behalf of Sonia Panesar, Phat Kat, Flavashop and myself, may god bless all those who have been left homeless and lost their families."
Ajay [www.ajayhq.com] - "So much is happening in the world, which brings us face to face with the fact that we need to work together for others who are less fortunate. As British Asians, I hope we can lead the way aid those affected by this disaster. I urge you all to give what you can."
